Establish Issues and Requirements
At the outset, it is helpful to understand what issues concern you most and whether you only require savings in energy usage, or if you also have some operational issues that need automating such as: reading meters, billing and collecting payments from tenants, for utility costs, service charges, rent, rates, insurance etc.
It may also be that you need data to fully understand how and when your building and processes consume energy and how you can make a more comfortable environment for your workforce, whilst reducing energy wastage.
You may have multiple sites in your portfolio of property, and you need to see a global picture of costs, that can then drill down to individual buildings, tenants, floors, units, or sectors.
Whatever your requirements are, Eticom has the solution. All our systems can be leased over a 3- to 5-year period, so you can pay for the system with a part of the savings made.
Prior to the survey we will need to know as much information as possible to ensure that our proposals are quantifiable. It is really helpful to have the current utility spend, location of all electricity, gas, water and renewable meters and the main distribution boards. A site map and M&E schematic would be fantastic if you have one.
As with most propositions, some idea of what will make a decision to proceed more likely will ensure we all use our resources most economically.
The detailed survey will be undertaken by an experienced and qualified surveyor. We will bring along all the necessary documentation, such as the Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Qualifications, Copy Insurance Policy, PPE, Photographic IDs.
The survey will show in detail, what we can do to help you achieve your ideal solution, the likely savings on an annual basis and exactly where these will be made. We will map out the full process, from bespoke system assembly to installation, commissioning, training and continued help-line support.
Before we leave site, we will ensure that a number of employees are shown in detail how to operate the system. The control and all detailed information is available 24/7/365 on Desktop or Mobile App. It is important that knowledge of the system is communicated throughout your organisation so that everyone can be part of your Carbon Reduction Program and actually see the results. If required, we can also push the data to a screen in your main office, or reception to show your responsible attitude to energy waste reduction.
Annual Savings Audit
Each year as part of the Annual Service we will publish the annual savings statement. This will take into consideration working hours, weather and actual usage versus other years, It is also possible to separate process energy costs from general consumption, to help make the data more meaningful.
Optional Service & Maintenance Contract
We offer an annual Service & Maintenance Contract. Every year we will attend your site and carry out a health check, collect the energy usage from your utility bills, make any necessary software updates, ensure all parts of the system are in full working order, repair any damaged parts and make additional recommendations to enhance the existing system. This service gives your appointed staff access to the Eticom Helpline and guarantees the system performance for the coming year.
